What does this mean?

Hi Andrey,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Yatagan swords, originating from the Caucasus region, boast a unique design characterized by a curved, single-edged blade tapering sharply towards the tip. Crafted for swift slashing and piercing, they were prized for their effectiveness in close combat. The distinctive yatagan hilt, featuring a forward-curving grip and a prominent pommel, provided a secure hold and facilitated agile maneuvers. These weapons were symbols of prestige and prowess among Caucasus tribes, often adorned with intricate engravings or embellishments reflecting cultural motifs. Renowned for their formidable capabilities and exquisite craftsmanship, yatagan swords remain enduring symbols of martial skill and regional heritage.
The calligraphic script isn't familiar but could mean its a dialect that was not widely used.
While it's probable the handle is ivory, the sale of ivory is complicated and subject to confusing national and international trade regulations and restrictions so, for the purposes of this appraisal, I'm describing the handle as "bone or ivory."
The condition - and lack of a scabbard - are detrimental to its value. If it were in better condition with a scabbard, I could easily see this being worth $3,000-5,000.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
